Analysis of Where the waves died
Churning the mighty Atlantic,
It loomed off the coastline.
It mocked the local residents;
residents who stayed behind.
With vengence and fury,
Awesome wind came ashore.
Driving rain fell sideways.
Victims could stand no more.
Hunkered down in shelters,
everyone was filled with panic.
They will never forget
the monster from the Atlantic.
The waters receded,
Hurricane Hugo said, "Goodbye."
The devastation will be remembered
where the waves went to die.
