Analysis of The last goodbyes

The appointed time is short
But if you can read the clock
You can say the hour of the day
And men will lay it upon their hearts

This lonesome trek could be desert track
sauntered forlony upon his barren crag
We all were friends in school days
Although we now live farway.
We still keep in touch somehow

This tired trek set out many years ago
is a map of jungles beyond high mountaintops
Taken between desert dues and forest rains
Has journeyed the mind far from presence
But still a few more years are left.

I tell you this as a farewell
We shall not meet on this earth again
But keep it dark, don't tell your wife
Until we grow old to build our own epitaph
After we had dined and drunk well
To leave behind us a crescendo of sounds
Revealing everyman a king indeed
But only a few more years shall roll.

This ordeal a fast fading fate
Could be the epilogue of my long torment
To enable me rest my head
Upon the lap of this adverse earth
Therefore let us sit down, you and I
Thinking of those deploring things
With this last sad song which is my last dance
