Analysis of The Father That Lived
Her tear fell into her glass
As she watched the planes crash.
Her husband, her only daughter's father,
Worked in those towers.....
And now he was gone.
"Mommy? When will Daddy be home?"
The little girl asked her crying mother.
Tears pouring,
She could hear her neighbors mourning,
The little girl didn't know what to do.
Wait! What did the TV just say?
20 survivors?
Could the beloved father be among them?
PLEASE say yes!
Oh my GOD!!!!!
They said his name!
But as the family celebrated, the rest of New York, and the country, weeped.
This poem is dedicated to all the families who suffered when their loved ones died during the terrorists attack on Sep. 11, 2001. Please pray for them. Also pray for the Islams, who are stereotypically labeled.
