Analysis of The Break Up

I can not begin to explain
all of the sorrow hidden in my core,
and what's left of my love remains
but an open bloody sore.
What was once a one time chance
seems to have slipped right by me.
Is this even still romance?
Or are we blinded by what we used to be?
How do we know that this feeling is love
rather than a fear of being apart?
I look to those in the heavens above
and search deeply within my heart.
A conclusion comes all but easy,
but I fear this love has died.
And this situation has me going crazy
because we are no longer unified.
I had held on with my strongest fist,
but I seem to have failed you.
I think it's time to take a risk
by ending now and starting new.
You'll always be a part of me on the inside
and I'll always have our memories to share.
And in me, you can always confide
because I will never cease to care.
But let us end this romance here
and let our lives take seperate direction.
I know it's sad, but have no fear
because I know you'll find love's perfection.
