Analysis of The Battle Remains Silently...
The addictions are my heart's misery,
when not entertained they scream out,
hollering there demands in my mind,
"come walk with me again my friend"...
Taking turns whispering to my weakness',
my eyes close tight to pray them away.
some more patient than others,
long or short the fight is the same...
The world says it's mind over matter,
but what then when nothing really matters?
Everyone has their own battle that they must live,
difficult it is to understand when theirs you know not...
The past, a memory of stored away conversations left alone,
better unsaid is that which another wouldn't understand,
like a lonely heart that feels like no one knows,
the same it is that hide away in a far away distant deep well...
My impression of John Donne if his was mine,
simply writing the depth of a heart just to survive.
Seeking no reward in this life time,
as my riches rest in the depth from which I write...
I've shook hands with the rich,
I've lived with the poor,
one having more than the less of the other,
it was that soul that I felt was my sister or brother...
Long ago, I made a deal with the devil
while in a moment not caring about my soul,
then One Greater than him came along,
offering me more than I could ask for...
For my friend dealing with addiction,
while not pursuing its need,
from my heart to yours,
keep your head up,
and your hopes higher than...
