Analysis of Sky Before Dawn
Looking out the window
the sky is gray, not blue
until golden rays slowly seep
over the horizon, radiant like you.
Such a dull, emotionless sky
but true beauty lies within
for in those few brief moments
we're all in the dark, foe or friend.
And everyday there comes a time
when the sky may not be dark
but there's no sun, no moon, no stars
even in your eyes, no glacial spark.
And in those moments, fear may dwell
but soon won't be able to feed
for the light we're sure is yet to come
is what keeps us going in our time of need.
So as I watch the colors grow
I know that warmth will come...
faith & belief are risky things
but I do because you are my sun.
