Analysis of Second Life
If I am ever reincarnated
I don't want to be a bird
or a butterfly
or a stream
I want to be a blade of grass.
A single, green
blade of grass
In a lonely park
With overgrown paths
that lead to nowhere.
I want to be a
blade of grass.
Trodden upon by
middle aged women
out for their morning jog.
Shat on by drooling dogs wearing
expensive collars.
Admired by lonely souls
contemplating death.
I want to be a
blade of grass.
Showered with cigarette ash
Adorned with feathers from
the surrounding birds.
I will be one
in a billion
Making up a beautiful landscape
Watching life pass by
day after day.
But I won't mind
I've felt enough pain in this life
Omnipresent pain.
I want my only fear to be
being eaten by a praying mantis.
No more pain.
I just want to watch.
