Analysis of Rusting Armor
Presenting myself tall, I firmly stand this solid ground,
Decays weaving in,
But I dare not make a sound
Now trust me when I say this, I dug my own hole
My action is the spade
While the dirt is my lost soul
My eyes dare not wonder from the small light I see
The only ray of hope here,
Making it easier to breathe
These vines of responsibilities, yes they hold me vast
But time is my blade
So this suffering won’t last.
To the light I will go, and see you on the other side
I’ll never let you go,
You are my life, you are my pride.
My child, you will not suffer, from the mistakes I have done
I will stretch myself weary
For you my only son
Now look way from fathers tears, it’s just been a long day
Don’t let fear settle in
Daddy’s here to stay
Eventually the nightmares will subside, and I’ll be happy too
Your mother may have left,
But I’ll always be here for you.
