Analysis of Puget Sound

silver tinsel twined
through lazy waters brine
by a clouded sun
reflecting

the sailboats putter
close
while the cruise ships
shadow most
and the ferries travel
coast
to coast

the wind spools
off the surface
like blue ribbons
falling, falling

while the seagulls
stretch their
wings
soaring, calling
calling

cities
evergreens
islands aline
this Sound of views
so greatly divine

coffee scents mix
into clouded skies
and the sailboats
sail far
final goodbyes
