Analysis of One less player

You've been playing with me
Exploiting my needs
I can't keep the pace
Retreating in haste
At first I cried
Then said I
I'm getting out of the game
Get relief from the pain
Gonna shield my heart
Here-take my part
I'm not hasty, I'm true
Really care about you
Many things more worthy of me
I'm giving myself to these
Stakes are too high
I'm out-goodbye
