Analysis of Lest You Forget
Hold on to your memories,
never let them slip away.
Clear images of yesterday,
dancing through your thoughts, so free.
Don't forget how we used to be,
keep in mind how we are now.
It's all that's left, but anyhow,
I don't want to hurt you, honestly.
Please, my darling, remember the day
you held me in your arms, I wept.
And when I watched you til the break of day,
you still held me as you slept.
Toss aside your hatred, throw it away,
hold on to the memories, lest you forget.
