Analysis of Inner conflict

Underneath the stars
Underneath the scars
I feel the cold, I feel the chill
I feel so sick, I feel so ill
Battles that leave so much dead skin
Fading hope of a war within

The soul has no choice
But to fight...fight in desperation
Inner conflict in a silence
That's so loud...solitary devastation
You wouldn't know
And I still don't know
What way it's going to go

Underneath clouded sky
Underneath life's lie
I feel the cruelty, I feel the wickedness
I feel the loss, I feel the emptiness
Harsh reality that slices the heart wide open
Having to survive parts of a world so dark and lonesome

The soul has no choice
But to fight...fight in desperation
Inner conflict in a silence
That's so loud...solitary devastation
You wouldn't know
And I still don't know
What way it's going to go

If I don't make it, just know that I tried
And if I fall just know I held onto the light inside
