Analysis of Independence Day ( another poetry challenge?)
Celebrations abound
As people scurry about town
Traveling to affair to affair
Flowing flags in the air
The red, white and blue
Flies high in the sky
Never do the colors
Seem so bright
Than on the fourth of July
When all Americans should
Beam with pride
Of the nation that was founded
On battlefields in thirteen colonies
Severed from a mighty kingdom
To become the United States
May the bells of freedom
Never be silenced
Soundtrack: “all too soon- Jodi Pronzacik”
