Analysis of Go Tell My Mother
someone, please, go tell my mother
they killed me on my way to school,
tell her I tried to stay clear
of trouble, but the bullets
didn't care if I was an only son,
or if I wanted to learn,
they didn't know me
but they found me as I ran,
tell mother I was trying to run home
to her, she's the only one who will understand
why I forgave the killer with my last breath,
go tell my mother that I'll be waiting for her
at Heaven's Gate and not to worry about me
or being late, I will have plenty of time to wait,
talking to my Father who's calling me home.
