Analysis of Feeling About the Room

I've spent a lot of time here
in this dark room.
I believe it is within our nature to reach,
hands out, into the dark to find our way-
find comfort.
Only by chance to come upon another,
touching hands, and in their reflex grabbing hold,
clasping before spinning wildly off axis-
as two objects, in their weightlessness, acted upon.
All that is left is the memory of that brief touch...
And in it I imagine her in a world of light.
Seeing her bathed in it, staring into her eyes.
I see my reflection, held there, in Heaven's glass cage
kept in check by the promise of their sparkle.
Looking in I think to myself,
Maybe I have seen this world of light.
Heard its' birds sing,
felt its' breeze.
But... as it is after all daydreams...
I end up here in the dark,
palms out,
feeling about the room.
