Analysis of A Simple Meal

Warm fragrant aromas fill the air
fresh bread and herbs make fine fare,
The open hearth, the orange glow
the simmering pot, the meal cooked slow.
Carrots, parsnips, root legume
This meal does makes a heady perfume,
With chunky pieces of hearty lamb shanks
To mother earth, we give our thanks.
