Analysis of A Prayer to My Family
Lord. My brother and my savior.
I ask of thee to please help me.
Remove my pain and heal my heart.
So that my body can, once again,be your home.
God. My Father and my light.
Guide me with your stern hand and gentle love.
Lead me so I can walk along this path that you have made for me.
Guide me to be one with my brother and you, as your eternal child.
Mary. My mother and my confidant.
Keep me in your gentle warmth, as all mothers do. Teach me what we women must know.
And as you put all your trust into my Father help me to do so as well.
I ask of thee three to help me throughout all my life.
Until I travel to join thee in our eternal home in heaven.
Amen.
