Analysis of A past that can'T be changed

I awake to find myself each day
All alone now, once again,
No one to hear the words I say
Because I'm my only friend.
I see the memories in my mind
That caused this life for me,
The pain & hurt I left behind
In a place I wish I could be.
I lived a life without a care
Not realizing the cost,
My kids, the times I was'nt there
The most cherished thing I lost.
Now I see them fully grown
And it hurts so much inside,
The fault & blame is all my own
Can't change what now has died.
Just to live my past again
I'd do whatever it takes,
I can't, and so I wait for the end
And just learn from my mistakes.
I've said my sorry's to everyone
As time keeps going by so fast,
Forget the things I've already done
Because I cannot change the past!
