Analysis of A Morbid Lullaby
Hush little angel, don't say a word
I'm gonna buy you something better than a bird
I'm gonna buy you your own little wings
And with them, you can do anything
Oh angel, I wish you could see
How very much you mean to me.
But poor health has gone and made you blind
To the eyes locked inside of my mind
Hush little angel, it's no use here
I wish I could tell you there is nothing to fear
But you're the one who've done your own wrong
And cannot be my muse for song
Hush little angel, you have no choice
For I can't even remember your voice
And so your wails sound so very strange
As I comb through every memory in range.
Little angel, I often think of your face
And often think of that last embrace
If only angel, I knew then,
that was the last time, I'd hug you again.
Oh little angel, please don't cry.
This is already too morbid a lullaby.
For in your body something went amiss,
And I never upon you bestowed one last kiss.
Oh little angel, there's nothing I can do
But sit around and think how much I miss you.
And watched you sink to the floor
And watched as you become the angel you are
