Analysis of Goodbye
Ragen Rogers 1977 (CA)
He remembers her love
Looking at her so sad
He can only think of
The life that they had
Deep in his heart
He just loves her so
He cant cope with the part
Of now letting her go
Standing there in front of her
He so longs to ask her why
She would leave this way
Without even saying goodbye
He tells her he loves her
Takes the ring from her hand
Promises forever
In his heart she will stand
As he says goodbye
His eyes fill up with tears
For he will never forget
All the wonderful years
Then just as the wind
Begins to blow
They lower her casket
Down into the snow
Then the answer came to him
The reason she is gone
To the question
He had for so long
It's because this happens
To so many alive
Who let family & friends
Get high, drunk, then drive!
