Analysis of The Mental Chase of the Invisible Virus
charliewang 1950 (Montgomery)
Snap! was the sound, as a stampede ensues, each running because his neighbor heard and ran too. That’s what pattern-seeking entities do, they are sympathetic in the dance of ignorance to survival. Self-preservation is the first Instinct, then thought turns to passing on of its genes or preserving spews sown. This time the sound is silent, no notice to run, the silence surrounds as a feeling, a Trojan horse in tone.
The omen moved like a thief at night, taking at will the virtuousness of the innocent wrapped in death. As eyes saw demises fall to the earth without an object on which to place blame, turns to the mediator of realms for comfort, as the forces of noble and foul choose sides to receive the hurled assignments. Lined eyes on bending knees conjured intangible visions to battle under a label of warrant and decency.
Mayhem refuses to bow, searing fear like a cloaked cloud through a petrifying clingy mist of panic’s brew. Not knowing, leads the haste for a hiding place, while noting constructs to the equates of ignorance. Long have the witlessness of shame tolerated any fiction offering comfort from illiteracy and anxiety. Temperaments could be eased if the foe stood and fought with honor, and not like a slithering coward.
Anger is an attribute of mammal offsprings, to be held in contempt and replaces the nakedness felt. When familiarity commits mutiny and replaces the enemy with invisible expressions, folly approaches. Having eyes that have failed, there is but one thing to do, place fate in the wisdom of the night sparks. Holding heads high, just before leaning forward to the fold as the ensnared, offering the self-sacrificed.
