Analysis of First Love
Christine Stratton 1933 (PA) – 2009
You were my first love and I had hoped you would be my last
I didn’t know what was happening for it happened so fast.
You introduced me to all things new, I gave my love that day
We had so much fun together, with you my heart would stay.
Our first kiss was something magical, it took me by surprise.
Our hearts really were connected, I could see it in your eyes.
I felt a deep connection, my soul belonged to you.
I hoped it would last forever, I hoped you would feel it too.
We had been so happy, for my heart had found a home
When you held me tightly, I would never be alone.
Then that fateful day had come, when You put it all to an end
I felt my heart breaking, I would never find a love like ours again.
You were my first of everything, I love you to this day
I tried to love and move on, but with you my heart did stay.
