Analysis of Secret Admirer
Latin X 1967 (Philadelphia)
It should be a crime to be so fine. I’m sure you’ve broken the law many times.
Wishing you were my love sublime. You don’t know I exist in this present time. In the meantime I observe you from afar. My gentle heart explodes with affection for a person that does not know my intentions.
My heart suffers in silence for fear of rejection. How I d love to tell her of my affection. Instead I stay silent and pay attention.
What does she do? What does she like? She likes to rhyme at open mics. So I write a rhyme for this attractive dime.
I tell her she’s a queen and so fine. Oh this heart of mine has been broken many times. I take a chance and ask her out.
She says “sorry baby I prefer the ladies”.
