Analysis of Without Incentive
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
There can be no motivation,
Without the having of incentive.
To finish and complete,
What one seeks to see and feel it done.
This takes determination.
With a tolerating frustration.
Since seldom is one satisfied.
Becoming more critical.
Than anyone else who may criticize.
And the concept of perfection,
To accomplish and it to reach?
Who is it that qualified,
Knowing when this has been achieved?
The most important thing kept,
One should keep in their mind to believe.
Is to continue moving forward to let go.
And leave behind those who don't know,
What it is inside that inspires anyone.
That motivates then to choose and do,
With time and sacrifice invested.
Done with incentive until it is shown.
Not a moment had been wasted,
Being discouraged.
By words heard to hear from others.
Unknowing that to do,
Is used more by some...
As an incentive to motivate them,
To get what is done.
Perfect or not.
Yet left feeling pleased.
Proving nothing to anyone but themselves.
And that to do is what it takes to succeed!
