Analysis of Unconditional Love ( A Son-in-Law's point of view )

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
( A SON-IN-LAW'S POINT OF VIEW )

You did not bring me into this world,
You did not raise me up as a kid.
But through your actions all of these years,
You loved me as much as my own Mother did.

You were there for me from the beginning.
You knew the man I would someday be.
I still doubt if I've lived up to the expectations.
But I don't doubt that you love me.

I had many struggles along the way,
I broke your heart and betrayed your trust.
Yet you still brought me back into your love
You did not leave me lying in the dust.

When your husband passed away,
I was there to pick you up
To comfort you as you had comforted me,
To help fill the loss in your loving cup.

You came to live with us in our home
And I took care of you as I promised I would.
We had many conversations over the years
I have always done the best I could.

When my own mother passed away,
You helped to mend my broken heart.
By showing me the that unconditional love
That you have shown from the start.

The love you've shown has never changed,
It's never wavered, It has always stayed the same.
You have always been a strong, loving woman
My life and heart you managed to tame.

I am forever grateful and blessed,
To have loved you in my life.
For giving me an additional brother and sister,
And especially for the Love of my wife.

Now as the time comes for you to rest,
I thank you for all the love and fun,
For always loving me as a Mother,
And allowing me to love you as a son.
