Analysis of MADE ANEW

I'm broken, Lord a shattered vessel
Always testing, doubting, trying to wrestle
I'm fallen, Lord, bowing before your Throne
Come beside me God, I know I'm never alone

My time in the wilderness showed Your Power
Now I stand announcing the darkest hour
Give me strength, be my voice
To give the whole world reason to rejoice!

I know the height from which I fell.
This dark place I won't forever dwell
But lest I fail in frightened fear
Lift my voice Lord, So the nations can HEAR!

Lord I lift your name on high, sing your praise
I will worship you all of my days
Let the world scoff, laugh and mock
We proclaim Jesus our Savior, Lord, and Rock

The shadow of death drew me near
But in your Grace I cower not to fear
Make me, your servant, a Light in the night
And may Your love grow ever more bright

I was broken now I'm stronger than steel
Forged by the God of Israel
I'm a sword reformed made brand new
Let me be a tool for the Glory that is You
AMEN

About this poem

These have come so that the proven genuinenessof your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 1Peter 1 7
