Analysis of The lust
Ajah Ikechukwu Emmanuel 1976 (Owerri)
It lures in the name of activity
And starts with just a sip
But slowly engaging your soul
Grasping you in its grip
As you lose all control
It will put a stop to the pain
And make all worries go away
Sadly in the end, it's all in vain
Leaving behind nothing but depression
The disagreeable aftereffects
is always rough and tumble
With a crashing headache and
A heart filled with repentance
You promise to never touch it again
But like the snake and burrow
It slowly creeps into your life
Becoming a faithful consort
But deep down you know
It's nothing but infatuation
Love for alcohol
Is a dangerous game
It may seem like fun
But it's not a friendly kind
So next time it comes knocking
Don't open the door
Reminice on the past lessons
Choose your health and happiness
Over a drink filled with complications
