Analysis of HEART BEATS
Barry Green Jr 1973 (Florida)
HEART BEATS
Heart beats in my chest.
The pain won't let me rest
All life seems to be a test
No prize for second best
Times past I tried to hide
Did my best not to decide
Humility crushed my pride
Before Your Throne I cried
I heard all the world had to say
Saw the mighty jump into the fray
But I stopped to seek Your way
On my knees, i bowed to pray
They say ourselves we serve
That glory we alone deserve
No love or faith we reserve
The way is straight,we swerve
That Salvation comes from a Cross
The victory arose from His loss
Serpent crushed, death's power toss
He's alive, the Light for the Lost
Heart beats, life goes on
Moments come, are soon gone
I worship You in the dawn
Heart beats, on and on…
Amen
