Analysis of Nothing is ok

Kelley Davies 1983 (Dallas)

Them tides, they've turned

The world is at war

I try and keep it peaceful

But my spirit is torn

The same who've hurt me

Are calling for allegiance

To their deathly strategy

To destroy with obedience

Their plan is heinous

It's not my way

I don't see an end

And still they slay

It's real, the violence

It causes consequences

The spiritual realm

Is pleading for our defense

Against this offense

The situation is dire

But I refuse to fall prey

To a world on fire

This antihuman fight

To destroy each other

Over a simple belief

"I'm right and you're wrong!"

It's all a lie

We're all the same

In the end

The war is inside of each one of us

Time to mend
