Analysis of Daughter of the Dark

The fire hisses, the cauldron bubbles,
Daughter of the night, stirring up troubles
Adding ingredients to her brew,
Elements of evil come into view.

Bent of form with a twisted limb,
Malevolence is deep within.
Malice seeps from every pore,
Eminating from her very core.

Her voice a rasp, within her lair,
She offers up unholy prayer
At an altar formed of bones and skin,
Beseeching power to perform sin.

Under the dark mantle, the witch takes flight.
Her broomstick streaking through the night,
Sinister eyes with a burning stare,
Searching for a hapless soul to snare.

A touch of blight, the spread of disease,
Acts of rancor to spread unease,
The spells are cast, the deeds are spawned,
Returning home before the dawn.
