Analysis of I Am Guilty

I am guilty because I believed,
even though I am a non-believer,
that every sentence was true
with which she described herself.

I am guilty for being silent,
when questions should have been asked.

I am guilty because I didn't go,
when I felt redundant
in the story that was ours.

I am guilty for allowing
fear to be stronger than love.

I am guilty of being her breaking point,
like a stone in the road
that breaks a chariot wheel.

I am guilty for allowing
her bring out the worst in me,
and then I even worst in her.

I am guilty because she is guilty of everything
she said and did wrong.

I am guilty because I still love her
and that the very thought of her
gives birth to love and pain at the same time.
