Analysis of Peace in the present

Chelsea Murphy 1999 (Red bank)

Sometimes the present moment is the only place you should be
No time for distractions, just time to be free

Away from the worry
Behind all of the fear
In a place of comfort
Where you hold yourself dear

Because you, my friend, are all that you’ve got
You fought a hard battle, but you did learn a lot
Trade the fear in for peace
Inhale and exhale, truly feel yourself breathe

You have climbed the highest mountains
And swam the deepest seas
Now pick yourself up
Stand up from your knees

If you don’t believe then no one else will
Look at the hell you have lived in
Yet you somehow stand still

As much as it hurts;
The pain will soon fade
The gray skies will brighten
And you’ll see better days

Don’t ever lose hope
Because I know that you’ll make it
Deserving of it all
Don’t be afraid to take it
