Analysis of Guided by the stars

Chelsea Murphy 1999 (Red bank)

The night was dark and lonely
but you saw me from a far
Slowly, I gravitated toward you
Guided by the stars

Like a life raft you pulled me
safely to shore
An undeniable connection
unable to ignore
The feeling that you give me
sends shivers down my spine
We drift away into the night
as we lie there intertwined

The way that we connected
None of us expected
But the world is ours to treasure
Just you and i together

So when the night is dark
And the storm is finally through
I always know the stars
Will guide me back to you

These moments fleeting by
While we lay there intertwined
I will cherish them forever
Just you and I together
