Analysis of Overwhelming Power

Tonight, she soaked her pillow with tears.

But this time, they were different.

With hands raised high and eyes closed

She finds herself standing in the middle of the darkened room.

She pulls her hair back away from her face, feeling a finger stroke her cheek.

It's okay, my daughter, I'm right here.

These words are whispered in her ear.

Overwhelmed with the power she is engulfed in.

She feels the tears pour down her face.

Someone grabs her hand.

Wrapping them around his neck

I can feel the overwhelming power.

My face pressed against your chest.

I can hear your heartbeat in my ear.

Wipe away the tears and let me sit with you.

You draw me to my knees.

Holding me in your lap

Your garments overlapping my shoulders.

I am embraced in your arms.

I can feel your overwhelming power.

We rocked back and forth, dancing in the wind.

The leaves falling on the meadow ground.

Your voice calming me, letting me fall against you.

She feels the overwhelming power.

Overflowed by your presence.

Your brown eyes are looking me in the face.

You never had to say a word.

Your blood courses through my veins

I am back in the bedroom.

You slide your hand down the back of my hair, my praises grow louder.

I love being with you, and your overwhelming power.
