Analysis of Darker Shade
Staring at the ceiling of a room- frozen,
anxiety's building up words unspoken;
As I see the colors fade,
when did the world gained a darker shade?
I see rainbows but I felt black,
when did the world turned its back?
When did laughter confined sadness,
in a cell full of emptiness?
Seeing the photographed memories,
with all the experiences it carried; a lone tear fell of my cheeks,
washing the remaining hope it seeks.
Enjoying the attention,
faking it as affection;
As I see the colors fade,
when did the world gained a darker shade?

About this poem
This poem depicts a certain feeling that emerged amidst a year of uncertainties, where everything just seems to crumble down. Or maybe, it's a feeling of someone who seeks hope in the uncertainties.
