Analysis of The Peace Gospel
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
How beautiful are the mountains,
Underfoot of whom brings good news;
Who publishes the peace fountains,
The happiness from Zion views.
For your God reigns heard from a voice,
Watch for the return of the Lord;
Together sing as you rejoice,
Eye to eye and in one accord.
Break forth together in singing,
You waste places of Jerusalem;
Allow the bells to be ringing,
As deceivers, He will condemn.
For the Lord comforts His people,
Because He has redeemed Zion;
Asylum within the temple,
He eats heathen like a lion.
The Lord has bared His holy arm,
Before the eyes of the nation;
Throughout the earth sounds the alarm,
God delivers His salvation.
