Analysis of Life's Ebbs And Flow

Joe Strickland 1986 (Hobbysville, SC)

Endless days turn into nights,
Enduring love and all its fights,
Eager eyes that seek the light,
Elevated thoughts that take flight.

Ephemeral moments come and go,
Euphoria felt from head to toe,
Enigmatic dreams that we bestow,
Enraptured by life's ebb and flow.

Ensconced in memories that stay,
Emotions felt and words we say,
Expanding hearts in every way,
Enchanted by life's grand display.

Echoes of laughter and tears,
Elevate the soul and calm fears,
Endowing courage through the years,
Eternal love that perseveres.

About this poem

Someone suggested/challenged me to write a poem where every line began with the letter E. This is what I wrote.

I'm just a regular, blue collar, working stiff who took an interest in writing poetry many years ago but until recently I haven't had a desire to share any with anyone or pursue publication. I'm an unpublished fork lift operator by night, and a day drinker by choice. I can be followed on Twitter @JoeStricklandSC more…
