Analysis of What is love?

You said you'd do anything for me,
but anything fell short
I asked you- were you sure?
and you responded
"yes with all my heart"
I leaned into it
Scared- but infatuated by love
I leaned into it
and I tripped,
and I haven't been able to get back up.
I'm here for you,
through thick and thin.
I wanted your love,
and I was led astray....

Forgetting I can't change anyone-
but remembering Rome wasn't built in a day.

My body needs a break-
and yours does too...

But am I hoping for something,
a love which is untrue?

Love hurts- that's notorious.
But should it hurt this much,
to the point I'm suffering..........?
