Analysis of I'm fighting hard
Elsa Kirsten 1981 (South Africa)
I'm fighting hard
I've worked too hard to go back to the old me...
Sometimes, looking in the mirror... she is all I see.
I'm fighting hard for her, not to creep back at me...
Sometimes a wall is at my back...attack upon attack...
Life is hard, it has no regard for your pain or your feelings of shame..
It beats you and slanders your name.
I got up and decided, I will never be the same, I gave Him all my pain and all my shame...
The things I once tolerated ...I can't no more
That was for the one I was before...
The past is there, that I can't ignore...
But I'm not going back to who I was before...
