Analysis of A Pleasant Memory
A cloud of cigarette smoke
gently kisses wintered air
caressing my thoughts
as I remember her, forever
in blue jeans, ski jacket and tartan scarf,
dusky locks, escaping a brilliantly delightful
Bolivian wool hat, framing her rosy-cheeks,
full lips and smoky mocha eyes
aflood with immaculate warmth
and there she stood in the doorway,
shivering on Mulberry Street,
patiently enduring the cold,
as we smoked one last cigarette,
before it we said goodbye.
