Analysis of Dear Momma
Marcus O'Neal 1986 (OKC)
This poem I am writing to you
Because you are the one that helps me through
Deep down I've always knew
Only because you dropped me clues
And told me to keep my head up no matter what the news
These things I've tried to tell you through the phone
But I promise to be better when I get home
Even though the rest of my life is unknown
It's time for me to start being grown
So thank you for all the advice you ever had to loan
And for showing me that I'll never be alone.
