Analysis of Entrusted Deposit
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Be ashamed not to testify,
Share afflictions of the Gospel;
The sufferings you can’t deny;
Sacrificial to the people.
Who called to a holy calling,
Not because of any deeds;
But of grace that we were falling,
Needs for our spiritual needs.
The Father gave us Jesus Christ,
Long before the ages began;
So we are not worldly enticed,
While He unfurled His plan.
For it is now made manifest,
The entry of our Savior;
For all of those who have confessed,
He will look upon with favor.
He brought life to abolish death,
Giving us immortality;
Resuscitating a new breath,
For living an eternity.
I was appointed a preacher,
In my writing of poetry;
To be a spiritual teacher,
So others have insight to see.
It’s why I suffer as I do,
But I would never be ashamed,
So others hear just what is true,
Believing what I have proclaimed.
I am convinced that He can guard,
What has been entrusted to me;
The deposit as my reward,
I keep following His decree.
