Analysis of God is the Creator
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Bless our Lord, O my soul,
He is the Almighty;
Such a splendor to console,
Clothed in His majesty.
He covers Himself with pure light,
Stretching out through the Heaven;
He lays His beams of delight,
Flowing with wind He has given.
He makes the clouds His carriage,
Wings that are riding the wind;
Coming on the day He will judge,
Those who are not disciplined.
His angels are messengers,
Rectors of flaming fire;
Minister to challengers,
That have earthly desire.
Earth set on its foundation,
That it never be removed;
Allowing its rotation,
For time to be behooved.
He covered it with raiment,
Water stood on the mountain;
As sunlight made the payment,
A stream flows from a fountain.
When rebuked the enemy fled,
The sound of thunder took flight;
As the lightning struck them dead,
The wrath of God in their sight.
Mountains rose and valleys sank,
That God appointed for them;
Living water that they drank,
The chosen He won’t condemn.
Boundary set not to pass,
That might not cover the earth;
A bound for each lad and lass,
Being fruitful brings new birth.
