Analysis of Ecstasy Sought To Find
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
A poetic verse is not intended to mend or fix,
Insecurities to solve.
Nor correct relationships.
To involve opinions,
From the poet to give them.
Some view a poet,
As their professional therapist.
With a selecting to direct comments made,
To exaggerate or either embellish...
A nonexistent reality to fiction.
We live in times,
To witness corruption and crime...
Become a normal way of life to live.
And anything that causes,
Threats to offend those living in denial.
Deluding the comfort of their kept fantasies,
Are the ones coming to destroy...
Their perception of a way of life valued,
With a doing through historic observations.
Centuries of hidden facts written.
And poetic verse questioning,
The mentalities and mindset...
Of a people,
Who today should be intelligent enough...
To rely on common sense to use.
Yet...
Are discovered to become easily upset,
If competence overwhelmingly...
Defeats Ignorance to endorse,
Support and follow to the land of ecstasy!
In a blinding never to awaken consciousness.
'Dead on arrival.'
'Whatever the business of 'WOKENESS'...
Is suppose to be about.
Other than a joke to provoke,
A meaning without substance or purpose.'
