Analysis of DARKNESS

I walk the darkness of my mind,
Stepping through scrambled words and memories
Of when she was still alive.

I don't care to be awake
I don't care to go about my day
I don't care about tomorrow
Here in the darkness,
I want to stay.

I take comfort in this darkness
there is no need to go anywhere
Her face,
Words she had said,
Memories we had shared,
Are just some of what my mind
Has chosen to let appear.

In this darkness
The light I do not see
Maybe in time
My mind will release me.

I am not afraid
In the darkness of my mind,
Do not worry
For my minds Darkness
Always befalls upon me.

So, give me time in this darkness
I have walked this path before
And when I am ready
I assure you,
I will find the door.
