Analysis of For Our Country

Jenina Yahne 1989 (Wyoming)

We flip the channels like nothing has happened
We blind ourselves like we don’t care
While they fight for what is here.
We wonder the streets and don’t take notice
The people who fight and give it all
Brave hearts and souls of our country
The reddest red blood that spills
The whitest angels that conquer
The bluest skies that open up
They give us liberty
They give us freedom
They fight for what is right
Their lives are taken to save ours
They are the pride of our country
Fighting for us, our freedom
They are the bodyguards who protect us all
On the water
In the air
And on the ground
We all travel upon
When we are towered down
They rise and take charge
They are our family and friends
They are our armed forces
The pride of our country
They are the angels sent above
They fight for what is right
They fight for life, liberty, and freedom.
