Analysis of Intimate
Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)
When I gaze into your deep dark eyes,
I find the answers to all my whys,
My what’s, my when’s, my where’s, my whose,
It seems they’re all contained in You.
O Lord I want to be wholly Yours,
And rest my ship on your sandy shores.
Now Jesus before you here I stand,
And still I’m just a sinful man.
I’m praying dear Lord please make me new,
You can see I only want to be with You.
Now my heart in my hands I open the door,
Come dwell with me Lord, the decision is Yours.
Send Your Holy spirit to live in me,
For it’s only You Lord, who can set me free.
