Analysis of I once was a tree

I once for a tree
But I got cut down
I was so tall
So green and so brown

I once was a tree
That was a sad day for me,
I made a big sound
When I hit the ground

Yet today I am happy
Because you get to see
This little poem
Written for you
Written on me
