Analysis of Bound
I am in bondage to my lover
He resides in all my nights
He senses my restlessness
And my longing to be wild;
He is equally as restless
And is as wild as one can be-
We are one soul together,
Set adrift on an endless sea.
His waves slowly consuming;
Within my soul the fires’ still rooted
Though we’ve never spoken the words
Our bond went quietly undisputed.
Entangled from my tortured sleep
Why must you imprison me?
Twin souls forever intertwined;
Though not meant to always be-
Why can’t you set me free
And release me from your Eden?
I must pick up the debris;
Must I ransom for my freedom?
