Analysis of Valley below

Riaan Smit 1988 (Windhoek)

I've been told there's a land of designer fire
That's been designed to keep you in line
You'll end up there if you live by desire and choose not to expand your mind

Welcome to the land planned before time
The souls they just keep pouring in
Looks like you may have to stand in line
We rate your worth here by the weight your sins
In the valley below

There's only one way to save
Only you could have if you tried
If you repent before your life is through
Or else enjoy the ride to the valley below

You were living by desire
Just pleasing yourself
Now you’re bathing in the fire
The heats treating you well
In the valley below

My mind became twisted when the preacher insisted
That we all get a second try, we can be forgiven
For the way we've been living we can be save ourselves before we die
Now I’m not kidding, it’s written in the book, many a sinner has taken a look; at the verse that’s listed your curse can be lifted
By watching a Sunday show then you won’t have to go,
To the valley below
